How far in advance should I begin dress shopping?
We recommend having your wedding date and venue booked before you begin searching for your dress. We find that having a date and location helps when making decisions about the dress. Our custom handmade gowns generally take about three months to complete in our studio. Special arrangements can be made for those with short timeframes, please don’t hesitate contact us if you need a rush order. We always try our best to accommodate the needs of our customers.
Do I need an appointment?
We recommend scheduling an appointment ahead of time, but always welcome walk-ins. Priority will be given to those with scheduled appointments so without one, there might be a wait for personal service and space in the fitting room.

What should I expect during my appointment?
During your scheduled one-hour appointment, we will try our best to help you find the right dress for you. We have a collection of gowns in house that you can try on or use for inspiration. We can also review with you any reference or inspiration photos you may have. We want this to be a fun, stress-free consultation so don’t feel any pressure about having to make any final decisions during your first appointment. We recommend bringing no more than 2 guests with you to best enjoy the experience, but we do not enforce a limit to the number of guests you can bring. Please do give us a heads up when making your appointment if you plan on bringing guests.
SPECIAL UPDATE July 2020: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will no longer be allowing additional guests during appointments. We are only conducting one-on-one consultations and fittings.
How much should I expect to spend on a custom wedding / evening gown?
Our custom wedding gowns start at $1200. The majority of our wedding dresses have fallen in the $1500 – $3500 range. Our custom evening gowns start at $700. The majority of our evening gowns have fallen in the $900 – $1200 range. The cost of our gowns are calculated based on the design, materials used, and the added embellishments such as hand done beadwork. We have done a lot of different custom work and cost is usually specific to the project, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have something special in mind, even if it falls out of our usual range.
We require a nonrefundable 35% deposit towards your dress when you place your order. The remainder of your balance is due when you pick up your dress. Due to the custom nature of our gowns, all sales are final, there are absolutely no refunds or exchanges.
What does a custom wedding dress entail?
A custom wedding dress is a gown that is handmade and fits exclusively to you. Using over 10 body measurement points, we can create a gown that fits you like a glove. We offer two options for custom gowns:
Customizing an existing style in our collection: We have a unique collection of wedding dresses and evening gowns available in our studio to be customized by you. Customization of those styles can include color, length, fabric, and other minor changes.
Working closely with our Designer to create a one-of-a-kind look: We start with an in-depth consultation where we discuss style, silhouette, the look and feel of your gown. During this time, you can also show us reference photos of what you have in mind. It could also help if you have shopped around a bit and have an idea of what you are looking for. But not to worry if you have not settled on any looks yet. From this consultation, we will then create sketches of different styles and offer fabric options to review with you. Once we finalize all the details (style, silhouette, fabric, embellishments, etc.) we can then give you the actual price of the gown. Custom gowns usually take 3 to 4 fittings, often beginning with a basic silhouette during the first fitting to ensure the correct style lines. Special accommodations can be made for out-of-town brides, such as multiple fittings scheduled during one trip.
Do you provide in-house alterations?
Since our custom made gowns are made-to-measure, there will not be any alterations needed after the completion of the gown. We do, however, offer tailoring and/or alteration service to gowns not created by us.
